So little Wm's blood test results from today are in. His bilirubin level went from 22.3 on Wednesday afternoon to 18.7 yesterday to 12.1 today. also between those first two readings he'd gained 4 ounces and between the last two he'd gained three more. The nurse said they'd never seen anyone go from 22 to 12 in just two days like that. And...

Well, we are all home. We've got a champion nurser this time, so I'm hoping that means the actual milk will show up soon and the minor jaundice going on now will go away. Otherwise, he's a perfect little dude with a very round head and a widdle dimple in his chin.

Home for the night. We did a round of prostaglandin gel, it seems to have gotten stuff moving a tiny bit, but nowhere near enough to be worth staying in the hospital. But my BP went WAY down while I was there, so things are less "augh get baby out now" than they were this morning. So tomorrow noonish we do the same drill, and then six hours or so ( Read more... )

Another doctor visit this morning, where despite upping the atenolol does, my BP was up AGAIN, to 140/100, or 148/96 depending which reading you like. So my doctor says "I think it's time to have a baby ( Read more... )

Blood pressure went up a little, not down, despite going back on the meds. Well, 130/90 today. Got another blood draw (though the last one came back fine). Going for an amniotic fluid check tomorrow. I'm to up the meds to 50 mg and go back in on Thursday (unless tomorrow's ultrasound is worrisome). So far we're not at "OMG gotta induce!" but unless ( Read more... )

It took most of an hour, and it seems that at least half of that time was an attempt to get an angle where they could get a good abdominal cross-section shot of little Mr. "I'm comfy like this, I don't care if you can't see anything." Got the 1 hour glucose tolerance test results back, I came in at 131 and "normal" is 140 or lower. Yay. No longer tests, no dietary restrictions.

I'm approaching only 3 months left. Wheeeeeee.
